La Vergne police officers acted quickly to reunite a newborn baby with their mother after responding to a kidnapping report.
Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a call about a taken infant. As details about the suspect and vehicle were gathered, another officer located the suspect’s car, initiated a traffic stop, and safely took the individual into custody.
The suspect was charged with especially aggravated kidnapping. The infant was unharmed and returned safely to the mother.
Officials expressed gratitude for the swift, coordinated response of officers and reminded residents to report suspicious activity, noting that every detail helps them protect the community.
