Awards include Air Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with bronze campaign star, Global War on Terrorism Medal and the Tennessee War Service Ribbon. He retired from military service in May of 2017 with 37 years and 3 months of service.

Dewey Hunter currently serves as the Vice President of Rolling Thunder, Inc. The non-profit’s major function is to publicize the Prisoners of War-Missing in Action issue, educate the public about how many soldiers have become POWs, to protect future veterans from being left behind should they become POWs or MIAs, and are committed to helping American veterans from all wars.

Information about purchasing bricks for the Veterans Memorial Wall will be available at the ceremony for anyone interested in purchasing a brick.
