La Vergne Fire & Rescue Department responded to a single-vehicle crash Friday morning on Blair Road near Waldron Road.
Firefighters arrived to find one person trapped inside the vehicle along with two small dogs. Crews quickly worked to safely extract the driver and pets. The driver appeared to have minor injuries and was transported for non-emergency medical treatment.
Both dogs were uninjured and comforted by firefighters until La Vergne Police Department officers transported the pets home at the owner’s request.
La Vergne Fire & Rescue was assisted on scene by the La Vergne Police Department and Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services.
