La Vergne Gets New Assistant City Administrator

Brown_KyleThe city of La Vergne would like to announce the promotion of Kyle Brown to Assistant City Administrator. A University of Tennessee Martin alumnus, Brown graduated with a degree in engineering. Shortly after graduation he was employed with a consulting firm out of Memphis. Brown has been with the City of La Vergne since 2005 where he started as a storm water project engineer. From there he climbed the municipal ladder eventually being named City Engineer.

The City of La Vergne decided to add the position of Assistant City Administrator to the 2016 budget. “We are a growing city with growing needs,” said Mayor Dennis Waldron. “La Vergne is expanding and this position will help support city initiatives and help guide the city into the future.” City Administrator Bruce Richardson said “La Vergne is lucky to have Kyle. He has been a vital asset over the years because he always does a great job and is very thorough. I look forward to working more closely with him in moving the city forward.”

Brown won’t have much time to transition into the position with his new duties starting immediately and he is ready to get started. “I am excited to begin this new chapter in my career and I’m looking forward to helping the city achieve its goals.”
