The La Vergne Youth Baseball & Softball League (LYBSL) is currently signing up youth for the Spring ball season. The player fee for T-Ball is $65. All other divisions will be $85. All fees include full uniforms and 12 games (weather permitting), as well as help with paying for umpires, trophies, and field maintenance.
“Opening Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 9th and it will be like no other,” said Athletic Coordinator Bobbie Moseley. “We are planning an Opening Day Festival with activities for all ages. Events include a hit-a thon, Dunk an Umpire, Speed Pitch, and some other cool surprises. I encourage our players to bring a marker and a ball to get autographs from our special surprise guests. The 2016 photo will be taken that day too. We are also seeking local vendors to purchase a 10X10 booth for $25. We want to support their business, just as they are supporting us.”
Players can sign up online at www.lavergnetnsports.com or register at the Parks & Recreation Office located at 294 Sand Hill Road. Sign up times are as follows:
January 1 – February 29 for ages 3-10 (T-ball – 10U).
January 1 – April 1 for ages 11 & 12 (12U) & 13-19 (14U & 19U).
In-person sign up dates will take place at the Softball Press Box as follows:
February 20, 9 am – 3 pm
February 26, 5 pm – 8 pm
February 27, 9 am – 3 pm

The team draft dates are as follows:
T-Ball, 8U, and 19U will not have a draft.

12U Softball Draft is Saturday, April 2 at 3 pm
