Director of Schools Don Odom has appointed Paige Jorge as principal of Cedar Grove Elementary School for the 2016-2017 school year.
Jorge succeeds former principal Mark Gullion, who has been named the new coordinator for Special Education for Rutherford County Schools.
Jorge served as the assistant principal at Cedar Grove for the past year and is a veteran educator of 12 years. She previously worked as an Response to Intervention coach at David Youree Elementary and as an elementary teacher at Brown’s Chapel.
“I am proud to call Cedar Grove my home and humbled to serve as the instructional leader to our remarkable faculty and staff,” Jorge said. “Our school is known for high expectations, strong relationships and an unrelenting focus on student learning. As we enter into Cedar Grove’s 20th year, I look forward to partnering with students, teachers and families to carry on the school’s history of success.”
Jorge will name a new assistant principal soon.
