LA VERGNE — HYLA Mobile, a leading provider of mobile device trade-in and reuse solutions, donated 50,000 earphones to the Rutherford County Schools in its continued support of educational programs and giving back to the community.
“We are pleased to announce that this donation will provide every student throughout Rutherford County Schools with a pair of headphones to be used in computer labs and other school programs as needed,” said Brandon Johnson VP of Device Operations.
The pallets of boxes containing the earphones were loaded onto a school district truck and transported to RCS offices early Tuesday morning. Lynn Porter from RCS’s purchasing department, along with other school district employees, were on hand to accept the donation from HYLA’s Technology and Processing (TaP) Center in La Vergne. “We are extremely grateful for the generous donation,” said Lynn Porter as she accepted the donation and met with Brandon Johnson at the TaP Center.
HYLA is headquartered in Farmer’s Branch, TX and the TaP Center employs over 300 personnel in La Vergne. HYLA is a proud member of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce.
