Remains found maybe Devin Bond but identification pending
Remains that may be missing youth Devin Bond were found Wednesday in the Barfield area but results from the medical examiner’s office are pending for identification, said Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh.
Bond, a Riverdale High School student, disappeared on March 31, 2017.
Teams of emergency responders found the remains in heavily wooded terrain, he said.
Search teams will resume looking for clues and other items on Thursday that could lead to the identification.
Once an identification is made, additional information will be released.
The Sheriff’s Office thanks all the emergency responders who searched in frigid temperatures the past two days.
