Whether a guest’s sweet treat of choice is two scoops of artisan ice cream in a waffle cone, a homemade baked good, a milkshake or a float, indulging on Thursday, May 18 at Hattie Jane’s Creamery in Columbia or Murfreesboro, Tenn. will contribute to the family-owned ice cream shops’ efforts to support local Boys & Girls Club organizations.

The creamery — whose name was inspired by the granddaughter of restaurateur Andy Marshall — has pledged to donate 10% of proceeds from both of its locations on May 18 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Maury County and Boys & Girls Clubs of Rutherford County.

A small-batch ice cream shop which boasts a variety of unique flavors, including Potato Chip and Matcha Green Tea ice creams, Hattie Jane’s is co-owned by Marshall and his daughter, Claire Crowell, and is associated with the Middle Tennessee hospitality business, A. Marshall Family Foods.

Though a desire to support and cultivate many deserving organizations in its restaurants’ communities is a pillar of the A. Marshall brand, the Boys & Girls Clubs are especially significant to Marshall, as he credits his local Club for providing positive role models for him as an adolescent.

Hattie Jane’s Creamery offers a rotating selection of ice creams, many of which are available at both stores, but some that are unique to either Columbia or Murfreesboro, such as Pink Guava Sorbet or PB & Marshmallow Cream, respectively. Both sell freshly baked cookies and brownies, milkshakes, floats, and sundaes, and the Murfreesboro location also includes a full-service coffee bar.

About Hattie Jane’s Creamery

First opened in summer 2016 in downtown Columbia, Tenn., Hattie Jane’s Creamery takes A. Marshall Family Foods. Inc.’s knack for creating an authentic Southern cooking experience for its patrons and invites them to stick around after dinner for a scoop or two of ice cream. By partnering with local farms and producing the inspired ice cream on-site, the creamery offers a true homemade, unique experience that is signature to the A. Marshall brand. The creamery’s second location opened in downtown Murfreesboro next door to the Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant in March 2017. To learn more, visit facebook.com/HattieJanesCreamery.
