For 11 nights in October, you can visit the zoo for its annual Halloween tradition. Boo at the Zoo takes place Friday, October 12 through Sunday, October 28 from 5 p – 9 p.

You and your family get to visit the zoo after hours and trick or treat throughout the zoo, ride on the Howl-O-Ween hayride through the backroads of the zoo, or get spooked at the Haunted Barn. And no need to cook dinner, there will be food available to purchase.

Because the event is after hours, most of the animals will be sleeping. However, the zoo has a few party animals who stay up late – Andean bears (till 6:30pm), Shell Station (till 7:30pm), antelope/zebra/ostrich on Africa Field (till 8:30pm) and flamingos (till 8:30pm).

Don’t wait until the last weekend as the zoo becomes more crowded at the end of the month and often sells out. This is a rain or shine event, come prepared for a weather event. Tickets are required for ALL guests, including kids under 2. Tickets are valid for one-time use only. You MUST bring your ticket to enter the event (tickets can be printed or scanned on a smart phone). Tickets are transferable person-to-person. No refunds or rainchecks.

Pricing for Flex ticket which includes any night with the exception of Saturday night is $13 for zoo members, $16 for non-members. Saturday prices are $14 for zoo members and $17 for non-members. Purchase tickets online here.
