Children’s clothing store Gymboree is reportedly closing all 900 of its stores, reports CNBC. The closure of the stores is part of a bankruptcy agreement to liquidate. A filing will take place later this week, a previous one was filed back in September 2017.

Another Gymboree brand, Crazy 8, announced in November 2018 that the stores would be discontinued.

The retailer is looking to sell its high-end brand, Janie and Jack, that currently has 139 locations.

There’s no official word on when the stores will be closing. For those with gift cards or returns, we suggest you contact the store to see if a policy has been designated.

Gymboree Music and Play will not be affected by the bankruptcy filing as the division was sold back in 2016.

There are two Gymboree brand stores in Rutherford County at The Avenue Murfreesboro, 2615 Medical Center Pkwy.

Gymboree Group, Inc. is a specialty retailer, operating stores with high-quality clothes and accessories for children. The company began in 1976 and grew from offering mom-and-baby classes in the San Francisco Bay Area to currently operating over 900 retail stores.
