
General Motors Spring Hill Manufacturing continues to fill openings at its Spring Hill Manufacturing facility, seeking skilled electricians, mechanics, and die makers.
This need is on the heels of the plant’s recent announcement of the addition of a third shift and 650 jobs beginning in January of 2017.
GM is ramping up production at Spring Hill in order to meet demand for its hot-selling crossover vehicles – the Cadillac XT5 and GMC Acadia.
In skilled trades, the company is looking for professionals with experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
Applicants must have completed a U.S. Department of Labor Apprenticeship Certificate Program and/or have a minimum of six years of documented experience in manufacturing maintenance. The 6.9-million-square-foot GM Spring Hill Manufacturing facility is located on 2,100 acres in Spring Hill. The site manufacturing operations currently consist of a flexible vehicle assembly plant, including a body shop, paint shop, stamping plant, two polymer injection molding operations and general assembly, and an engine plant. There are 3,300 hourly and salaried employees at Spring Hill.
