Fountains At Gateway Welcomes Tom and Chee

A restaurant concept that won praise and capital on ABC’s “Shark Tank” reality TV show has signed a lease for its second location in Middle Tennessee at Fountains at Gateway. Fountains of Gateway will include 400,000 SF of office space, 70,000 SF of retail space, a 100-unit apartment community and a mid-sized business hotel.

Tom+Chee, the grilled-cheese-and-tomato-soup restaurant, will open in the Fountains at Gateway mixed-use development. Franchisees Sam Patel and Ray Patel plan to open the restaurant in December.So what is Tom Chee? According to their website:

Tom+Chee is the grilled cheese and tomato soup shop for the kid at heart, mixing classic comfort food with fresh ingredients, healthy alternatives, and a flare for the unexpected.

From the vegetarian Hippy Chee, to the offbeat Grilled Cheese Donut, Tom+Chee offers 25+ sandwiches, fresh salads, along with three tomato soups with seasonal favorites like gazpacho and blue cheese chili. Check out our super sweet and savory specials!

With over 30 Tom and Chees already across the country, including the one in Nashville at 6702 Charlotte Pike Suite 105, they quickly gained  gained national acclaim. They got out of their small tent in Cincinnati thanks to an investment from ABC’s “Shark Tank” . They have been featured on “The Chew”, “Man v. Food Nation” and named one of America’s Best Sandwiches on NBC “Today Show” .

Tom and Chee make all of their sauces, dressings and spreads from scratch. They offer gluten free, vegan and vegetarian friendly items. For this writer , it will be all about the Grilled Cheese Donut . Tom and Chee have a target opening of December this year.
