Pro Bowl rosters were announced last week and a noticeable name was left off the list, one, Kevin Byard. After getting snubbed in his second season for Pro Bowl honors, Byard went out in week 17 with his team’s playoff hopes on the line and tallied two interceptions to help secure the Titans’ post-season dreams. That performance earned him ‘Defensive Player of Week’ award for week 17. Later in the week, his performance for the season earned the former MTSU Blue Raider a spot on the AP All-Pro Team for 2017-18.

Byard led the NFL in interceptions for the majority of the season and ended the year tied for the most in the league with eight while adding two fumble recoveries to his totals. His 10 takeaways were the most by any defender in the NFL this season.

In just his second season, Byard is already engraving his name into Titan’s history as one of the franchise’s greatest DB’s along with the likes of Blaine Bishop, Samari Rolle, and Cortland Finnegan.

Byard is the fifth Titan in the franchise’s history to make an All-Pro Team. He adds his name to the list with Jevon Kearse, Chris Johnson, Jack Conklin, and Byard’s current teammate, Bret Kern who received 2nd Team All-Pro honor this season.
