The event is part of MTSU’s celebration of National Women’s History Month.

“It’s kind of like a seminar/fashion show/showcase of business owners where participants are able to, toward the end of the event, walk around and see what the different vendors have to offer,” said Sholanda Brown, one of the coordinators of the program and a benefits analyst in the MTSU Office of Human Resources.

Brown, who also is the owner of The Couture Experience by Shalon, joined forces with Latoya Bennett, owner of the Ellie Colour wardrobe stylist firm, and Meichelle Gibson, co-owner of Gibson Consulting and Entertainment Group, to provide a networking and information exposition for prospective businesswomen and those working in their first five years of the business world.“It’s kind of like a seminar/fashion show/showcase of business owners where participants are able to, toward the end of the event, walk around and see what the different vendors have to offer,” said Sholanda Brown, one of the coordinators of the program and a benefits analyst in the MTSU Office of Human Resources.
