You may have noticed issues with Facebook and Instagram today (Wednesday). Many users of the social media platforms reported issues Wednesday. Users were unable to create posts and feeds were not updating.
Twitter was not affected by the outages; therefore, Facebook used Twitter to share updates on the issue.
The first Tweet from Facebook stated, “We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.”
A second tweet stated, “We’re focused on working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, but can confirm that the issue is not related to a DDoS attack.”
Responses flooded the Twitter page. One stated, “BACK TO MYSPACE WE GO LOL”

Another commented, “When you have to use your competitors to announce your businesses are down…”
There are users who want to commemorate the day with a t-shirt, stating, “My niece was born during this crisis. Are you selling shirts that say I survived the FB Shutdown 2019? At least a onesie? Newborn size”
Words of advice were shared in response,“Have you tried turning it off and back on again?” along with “Try putting it in rice.”
Jokingly, one commented they actually talked to their neighbor stating, “Omg! I had to step outside and talk to my neighbor. Turns out he has kids and has lived there for 12 years. Let me know when everything is fixed. I’ll be next door.”
Some shared they were relieved stating, “Thought it was just me but now I’m relieved as thought I’d been put in Facebook jail!!”
