Eagleville’s terrific season continues, as Ethan Cobb and the Eagles beat Riverside by a 23-9 score in the first round of the TSSAA football playoffs on Friday.
Cobb ran for 85 yards and two scores, and threw for 170 and another TD to Trevor Griffin, who caught seven balls for 62 yards. Griffin also had six tackles and an interception.
Mari Stoudemire led Eagleville with seven tackles and six sacks.
Cobb hit 17-of-23 throws, with five going to Sunshine Hatcher for 62 yards.
Eagleville (9-2) travels to 10-1 Columbia Academy for a second-round game next week.
