Quarterback Ethan Cobb and Eagleville came up a little short on Friday in a 29-21 loss at Lewis County.
Cobb, the Eagles’ dual-threat star, was 14-of-20 passing for 148 yards and a touchdown, but Lewis County held him to just 17 yards on 13 carries, though one went for a score.
It’s the first loss of the year for Eagleville (3-1).
Lewis County held Eagleville star receiver Graham Hatcher to just two catches for 13 yards. Trevor Griffin picked up the slack with 76 yards on seven catches and a score.
Antonio Turrentine added seven carries for 52 yards and a score.
Josh Wallman and Joey Johnson led the defense with eight stops each.
Eagleville hosts Community High next week.
