Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division detectives are investigating a homicide that happened about 6:30 pm Sunday on Lee Road near Smyrna, a CID lieutenant said.
“Deputies responded to a shooting, which resulted in the death of Ben J. Lee, 55, of Smyrna,” said Detective Lt. Steve Craig.
The investigation is ongoing and further information will be released at a later time.
