RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing I-24 from Stones River Bridge (MM 78.5) to East of the Bridge over CSX Railroad (MM 82)
* Nightly excluding Friday and Saturday, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions between Stones River Bridge (LM 15.58) and east of bridge over CSX Railroad (LM 19.07) for paving operations and pavement markings. One lane will remain open in each direction.
RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Grading, Drainage and Paving on SIA Route Serving Nissan North America
* From now through August 2016, Singer Road, from North Broad Street to the Nissan North America entrance, will be closed to through traffic. This closure will remain in place until the project has been completed or until 8/31/16. Local business access within the project limits will be provided.
RUTHERFORD, WILSON, WILLIAMSON COUNTIES, Restriping on SR 840
* Nightly, Starting Thursday August 11, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 840 from MM 30 to MM 70 in various locations for restriping. One lane will remain open.

Bridge over Broad Street TDOT Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am: There will be alternating lane closures on NW Broad Street, Ridgley Road and W College Street for underground utility crossing. There will be lane shifts and traffic interruptions. Broadmor Blvd is closed to through traffic for utility crossing and general construction work. W Lytle Street and a short segment of College St and Burton St are also closed to traffic for construction work. Retaining wall work continues as part of the southwest and southeast ramps for the new overpass. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
W Lytle Street Relocation Project (NW Broad St to Barker St)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am: W Lytle Street is also closed to traffic at NW Broad Street for construction work. Paving work continues on Lytle St. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
W Lytle Street Roadway Improvement Project (Baker St to Church St)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: W Lytle Street will be closed to through traffic between Walnut St and Maple St for construction work. On Saturday, August 13, the intersection of W Lytle St and Maple St will be also closed to through traffic. Access to local businesses will be kept open at all times. Message boards and appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Rutherford County Judicial Center Project (between Burton St and Lytle St)
Expected Lane Closures: Wednesday, July 20, 2016 – Friday, March 31, 2017: As part of the Rutherford County Judicial Center construction, Burton St between Maple St and Church St will be closed to traffic to make roadway improvements. Burton St traffic will be detoured onto Lytle St. There will be traffic interruptions and minor lane closures at the intersection of Maple St and Burton for steel and equipment deliveries. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Middle Tennessee Widening Project (Greenland Dr to E Main St)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: The contractor has implemented the next phase of the traffic control plan on Middle Tennessee Blvd. Traffic on Middle Tennessee Blvd has been shifted to the east side and reduced to two-lanes two-way between E Main St and Greenland Dr. E Lytle St is closed at Middle Tennessee Blvd. The section of E Lytle St between N Bilbro Ave and Middle Tennessee Blvd are only open to local traffic. On Monday night, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am, Middle Tennessee Blvd will be reduced to one lane flagging operation for water line installation work. Appropriate traffic control signs and message boards will be in place.
TDOT Roadway Improvement Project (Singer Road between NW Broad St and CSX Railroad)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday, March 14 – Wednesday, August 31: The contractor for TDOT will be closing Singer Rd between NW Broad St and CSX Tracks to make roadway improvements. Access to and from businesses and residents will be from Florence Road.
Sewer Pump Station Project (NW Broad St at Battlefield Pkwy)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 5 pm: Contractor for Water & Sewer Department will be installing sewer lines within TDOT right-of-way/Battlefield Pkwy. A small section of Battlefield Pkwy is closed. Underground bore work continues. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Private Development Roadway Improvement Work (Veterans Pkwy just north of Old Fort Pkwy)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm: Incidental sidewalk work continues on Veterans Pkwy north of Old Fort Pkwy. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Private Development Utility Work (Crestland Ave just south of Greenland Dr)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm: Contractor for a private development will be installing water lines and taps on Crestland Ave just south of Greenland Dr. Traffic on Crestland Ave will eb reduced to one lane flagging operation. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Murfreesboro Water & Sewer Rehabilitation Work
1) Greenland Dr just east of Old Lascassas Rd
Expected Lane Closures: Thursday: The contractor for Water & Sewer Department will be repairing the curb and gutter along Greenland Dr just east of Old Lascassas Rd. There will be partial lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Asplundh Tree Work (S Church St at Broad St)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm: Contractor for Murfreesboro Electric Department will be removing four tree at the intersection of S Church St and Broad St. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
City Urban Environmental Department Tree Removal (Greenland Dr between Shawnee Dr and Rutherford Blvd)
Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday, Weather Permitting, 8:30 am to Noon: Urban Environmental crews will be removing low hanging tree limbs along Greenland Dr between Shawnee Dr and Rutherford Blvd. Traffic on Greenland Dr will be reduced to one lane flagging operation. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Water Tie-in Service Work (Hickerson Dr between W Castle St and S Front St)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm: Contractor for a private development will be installing water line installation work on Hickerson Dr. There will be minor traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Annual City Street Paving Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM: City paving contractor will be raising castings, milling and paving the following streets:
1) Northfield Blvd between Sulphur Springs Rd and Broad St – Paving (Sunday & Monday Night, 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM)
2) Grantland Ave – Paving
3) Cross St – Paving
4) Murfree Dr – Paving
There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
