Mayday Brewery is kicking off 2018 right by putting its Angry Redhead Ale in 12 ounce cans. Six-packs of cans will be available for the first time (to-go only) from 1-10 p.m. January 13th at the brewery, located at 521 Old Salem Road.
“We have been canning our Boro Blonde since July of 2017, and it’s time to roll out another style,” says Mayday founder Ozzy Nelson. “We are very excited to begin canning the Angry Redhead in-house, and plan to roll out a few more styles in cans in 2018.”
The Angry Redhead release party will also include a chance to get one 6-pack of Redhead or Blonde free for a year by signing up for the Mayday email list. The person has to register to win on the day of the event, and a winner will be randomly drawn and announced the following Monday.
Local bluegrass band “Grass2Mouth” will be cranking out the tunes to celebrate the event at the brewery on Saturday January 13th. Grass2Mouth plays traditional and original bluegrass tunes along with some entertaining covers of some of your 80’s rock favorites in a bluegrass style.
Twelve ounce cans of The Angry Redhead will be available at various local bars, restaurants and convenience stores the week of January 15, Mayday has a list of where cans and draft beer are available on their website. “We are working with our distributor, Lipman Brothers to get our cans into Kroger in 2018”, Nelson says. “I can’t think of a better way to start the new year than to have the Angry Redhead available in cans.”
