MURFREESBORO – On the heels of their first Conference USA Basketball Tournament title, the Middle Tennessee men’s basketball team will host an NCAA Selection Show gathering on Sunday at the Kennon Sports Hall of Fame building. The event, which will be televised nationally on CBS, NCAA.com and the March Madness Live app, will air from 4:30 to 6:30 PM Central.
The Middle Tennessee (24-9, 13-5) players, coaches and staff will be on hand as they learn their NCAA destination. Doors will open at 4 PM and the event is open to the public.
The Selection Sunday show has expanded to two hours and is the exclusive, live first-time announcement of the pairings for the 2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship.
Ernie Johnson will join Greg Gumbel to host the show as Clark Kellogg, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, Seth Davis and Doug Gottlieb will provide analysis breaking down this year’s bracket.
The Blue Raiders are making their second NCAA appearance in the last four years and eighth in program history. MT was an 11 seed in 2013 when it went to Dayton to take on Saint Mary’s.
