City Launches Online City Code and Charter

The City of Murfreesboro has launched an electronic City Code and Charter through Municode, an online legal code hosting website that connects citizens to the City’s Code of Ordinances and Charter. Citizens can access the Murfreesboro Code at https://www.municode.com/library/tn/murfreesboro/codes/code_of_ordinances.

The link is also available on the City’s homepage under Your Government/Open Government/City Code and Charter or Departments/Legal/City Code.

Municode provides user-friendly searchable content of the entire City Code and the City Charter including recent changes and pending amendments. The full Muni Code Library of links to other municipal codes by State, including Tennessee, with Murfreesboro and 18 other Tennessee municipal governments can, be accessed at https://www.municode.com/library/.

Municode allows users to easily share links, print or e-mail ordinances, download documents and share versions. In addition to searching the City Code by subject, the general public can sign-up to receive notifications via e-mail of new ordinances and select publications updated online. Legal professionals, law enforcement officers, and homeowners can access traffic laws, noise and animal regulations, and fireworks ordinances at their fingertips.
