Country music goes to Hollywood! Carrie Underwood was given her Hollywood Walk of Fame star right in front of the Capitol Records building in Los Angeles.

Underwood was accompanied by husband, Mike Fisher, son Isaiah (3 1/2) along with Simon Cowell and Brad Paisley, co-host of CMA Awards.

“Carrie Underwood is in many ways, this generation’s Dolly Parton as Ms. Country Music. I don’t think we could ask for a better ambassador,” said Brad Paisley. “I don’t think there’s anything she can’t do,”

Now in her 13th year in the music industry, Oklahoma native, Underwood became the winner of American Idol in 2005. Since then she has won seven GRAMMYS, six CMA Awards, and 14 ACMS.

Underwood just released her latest album on September 14, Cry Pretty where she co-wrote nine of the songs. Just before the release, she shared the news their family is expanding by announcing her pregnancy on Instagram in August. In an emotional interview with CBS Sunday Morning this past week, Underwood shared how she worked on the album amid personally suffering three miscarriage.

“I’d kind of planned that 2017 was, you know, going to be the year that I work on new music, and I have a baby. We got pregnant early 2017, and didn’t work out,” Underwood told CBS. “And throughout the whole process, you know, I’m writing and, like, literally right after finding out that I would lose a baby, I’d have a writing session, I’d be like, ‘Let’s go. You know, I can’t just sit around thinking about this. Like, I wanna work, I wanna do this.’

In Spring 2019, Underwood will launch a new arena tour, The Cry Pretty Tour 360. The new tour will kick off on May 1 in Greensboro, NC, and will play 55 arenas across the U.S. and Canada. She will be joined on tour by special guests Maddie & Tae and Runaway June.
