Screen Shot 2016-03-13 at 6.13.00 PMThe Blackman High School event planning class will be hosting the Bramble Bash to honor Baylor Bramble on April 16, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Bramble is a Siegel High School football player who was critically injured during a game this past season. Since his injury, he’s had multiple surgeries and is still receiving medical treatment. Our goal is to help raise money to aid his family in paying for medical expenses.

The Bramble Bash consists of a 5 on 5 basketball tournament and a children’s festival. The 5-on-5 basketball tournament, which will include the first sixteen teams who sign up and pay, will be held in the Blackman High main gymnasium. The children’s activities include: car smash, bounce house, cake walk, face painting, balloon pop and many more. They will be held just behind the gymnasium in the grassy area. The community is invited to come and enjoy the fun!

The cost to participate in the 5-on-5 basketball tournament is $20 per player, which includes the game(s), t-shirt and lunch. Tournament fees are due to Blackman High School’s Event Planning Class by Friday, March 18th. The top three teams will earn cash prizes and door prizes will be given out throughout the tournament. The cost to participate in the children’s games and activities is as follows: tickets – $1.00 (activities will be 1 or 2 tickets) or a wrist band for $10.00 which includes all activities and games for an unlimited period of time. Each additional child in the family will cost only $5.00

Concessions will be available throughout the event. There will be hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, candy, and drinks. Children, teens, and adults are invited to watch the teams during the basketball tournament and participate in the outside games and activities.
