
During its Oct. 9 regular meeting, the La Vergne Board of Mayor and Aldermen filled two vacant positions on a city board and committee.
- Mary Jane Skinner was appointed to serve on the Beautification and Arts Advisory Committee, which serves as an advocate in the city’s decision-making process for artistic and cultural activities, seasonal programs and decorating, and general city beautification.
- Megan Honeycutt was appointed to the Library Board, which supports the La Vergne Public Library by overseeing the library’s budget, helping guide policies, programs, and long-term planning.
Both appointees begin their terms immediately.
The City of La Vergne extends its appreciation to all residents who volunteer their time and talents to serve the community through these advisory roles.
