Blaze Turn Up Heat on Hawks

Coming off last weeks disappointing loss to Cookeville, Blackman knew it had to take care of business to stay in playoff contention.

It did just that with a 37-14 win over Stewart’s Creek, moving to 7-2 on the season.

This game had all the makings of a trap game for the Blaze.

Instead, Blackman came out and established its dominance immediately, blanking the Red Hawks at the halfway point, 23-0.

The second half was more of the same for the Blaze, tacking on two more touchdowns in the third quarter, effectively putting the game out of reach. 

The Red Hawks would saved face on the night, scoring twice in the second half.

Blackman plays at Riverdale to end the regular season next week.
