Some think Blackman is the team to beat in 6-A this year.
Hendersonville probably wouldn’t argue, after the 63-28 whipping the Blaze put on it on Friday.
The Blaze scored the game’s first 28 points and led 49-14 at the half.
Blackman running back and Ohio State commitment Master Teague accounted for three first-half touchdowns, and receiver Trey Knox had two, as the Blaze raced to a 49-14 first-half lead.
One of Teague’s scores was a 97-yard kickoff return.
Quarterback Connor Mitchell added a 52-yard punt return touchdown in the first half, too. He ran for two scores and returned a punt for another.
Blackman travels to Rhea County next week.
