Baseball roundup: MTCS stays unbeaten

Zach Stephens allowed just two unearned runs and also had two hits at the plate as the Middle Tennessee Christian School Cougars defeated Fayetteville, 7-2, Wednesday in high school baseball action.
The victory kept MTCS unbeaten, improving the Cougars to 7-0 on the season.
In other action, Siegel and Blackman split a doubleheader with the Stars taking the opener, 4-1, and the Blaze winning the second game, 3-2.
In the opening game, Zac Pearson tossed a three-hitter for Siegel and struck out four in leading the Stars to the win.
D.J. Wright turned in a strong pitching performance for Blackman in the second contest, tossing a four-hitter and striking out four for the Blaze.
Oakland ripped LaVergne 10-1 on Wedneday, while Stewarts Creek swept a doubleheader from city rival Smyrna. The Spartans won the opener 8-0 and took the second game from the Bulldogs, 10-1.
