May 9, 2025 – Home video captured a young man armed with an AR-style handgun breaking into vehicles overnight Tuesday in the Blackman community in Rutherford County, a sheriff’s deputy said.
The suspects appeared to be young men, said Deputy Chris Wright.
“One passenger rummaged through the cars,” Wright said. “As he exited the car, he had an AR-style pistol in his hand.”
A stolen credit card was used later Wednesday at a Waffle House in Donelson, leading deputies to believe the suspects may live in Nashville.
Some vehicles were locked. Others were unlocked.
The burglaries occurred on Burnt Knob Road, Sugartree Drive, Ruby Oaks Lane and Shelly Plum Drive.
