Songwriter Session: Dillon Carmichael
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum
Sat, Jan 12 11:30 am

Nephew of country stars Eddie and John Michael Montgomery, Kentucky-born Dillon Carmichael was surrounded by music growing up. After moving to Nashville and signing a publishing deal at age eighteen, Carmichael eventually met producer Dave Cobb, who has overseen albums for Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, and Chris Stapleton. Cobb produced Carmichael’s debut album, Hell on an Angel, released in 2018. Songs include “Hard on a Hangover,” which Carmichael wrote with his mother; the title track, “Hell on an Angel;” and “What Would Hank Do?” which set the tone for the rest of the album. Presented by SunTrust. Ford Theater.
