7 Places to Save on Halloween Costumes


Halloween costumes can be expensive, especially if you have more than one child and you are looking to purchase costumes for each of them.

2018 Halloween spending is expected to reach a total of $9 billion, the second highest Halloween spending seen post-recession, according to National Retail Federation. NRF and Prosper’s annual Halloween Spending Survey found that seven in 10 consumers plan to celebrate this year, and they’ll spend an average of nearly $90 per person.

We went out this week looking for some of the best places to purchase costumes for a discount this season.

Party City 

You have to look closely, but you can find items that are on-sale throughout the store. Online you will find the popular inflatable morph suits, use the code SCARE20 for a 20% discount online.  Party City is located at Towne Centre Shopping Center, 1979 Old Fort Pkwy, Murfreesboro.

TJ Maxx

At the front of the store, you will find costumes that cater to the younger trick-or-treaters. We found most of the costumes to be less than $20. You can find TJ Maxx in Smyrna at 700 Genie Ln and Murfreesboro 1911 Old Fort Pkwy.


Now you can dress like the popular Hank Williams Yodeler discovered at Walmart, Mason Ramsey. Walmart has everything you need. You can find the popular onesies and Maskimals for less than $20 here.

The Dollar Tree

They don’t have complete costumes but you can find pieces to complete your costumes like a pirate vest, capes, wings, tiara, and more.

JOANN Fabric & Craft Stores
