Mother’s Day is just around the corner. As you consider what to get Mom this year, check out one of these local, small businesses.

*Did you know: According to MainStreet Murfreesboro/Rutherford County, for every $100 spent at a local store, $68 stays in the local economy. When you spend $100 at a national chain, only $43 stays in the economy. When you shop online, nothing stays in the local market, unless the store is locally owned.

Murfreesboro, Smyrna, LaVergne, and Eagleville have a number of stores that are locally owned and operated. And many of these support local artists, artisans, and even farmers.

Check out these 10 local shops for the perfect Mother’s Day gift(s).
