1. Labor Day Pool Party

WHAT: Listen to music, lie by the pool and play a few games. Head to Boro Beach (outdoor pool at Sports*Com) for the last day of the season! Fun, food, games and prizes! $7 Adults, $5 Youth, Seniors & Military

2. Football Trivia at Puckett’s

WHAT: Down, set, hut! Puckett’s is having a football trivia tournament on Tuesday, Sept. 3, and the game is ON. Collegiate, NFL, you name it! Reservations are highly recommended, so make sure to call 629-201-6916 to save your spot.

*Note – there is a $10 food/beverage minimum per person.

3. Movie on the SOAC Lawn


WHAT: Bring your blanket, chairs, and family to the SOAC Lawn for a family movie, Secret Life of Pets 2.

4. Rutherford Roller Queens Skate Night

WHAT: Rutherford Roller Queens is a women’s skating league that skates to 90s, hip hop, jock jams, disco and more. They are hosting a skate night this week.

Tickets are $15 per person and you may try a skate night ONE time without joining the league as a member. They offer a $50 membership fee for the year to help cover expenses and admin cost.

WHERE: Smyrna Skate Center, 1505 Plaza Dr, Smyrna

5. Brendan Jacklin: Piano & Multimedia

WHAT: Canadian pianist Brendan Jacklin is currently based out of Nashville TN. He is an active performer, teacher, new music advocate, and adjudicator. In addition to traditional repertoire, he performs and collaborates with many living composers, commissioning composers from across North America. A special interest of his involves performing interdisciplinary and multimedia music, having performed works that include visual and electronic elements, as well as performances with spoken poetry and dance.

As an avid performer of contemporary music, Brendan has premiered dozens of works, including solo and chamber music, and has performed with the Fringe Logic Performing Collective, All of the Above, the Atiragram Quartet, Café Momus, the Bowling Green State University New Music Ensemble, and the Brandon University New Music Ensemble. He has worked with many composers, including David Lang, Missy Mazzoli, Libby Larsen, John Orfe, Jorge Cordoba, and Nicole Lizée.
