Franklin County Lady Rebels (10-19, 6-6)

Riverdale Lady Warriors (28-0, 12-0)

Friday night Warrior fans thought they were going to watch their Ladies play a basketball game. It ended up being a track meet. From the tip Riverdale was off to the races. The main lady setting the pace, as usual, UT commit Anastasia Hayes.

Hayes was untouchable, at times appearing to toy with her defender with jab steps and pump fakes. Getting to the rim at will time after time. Anastasia showed just why she is a finalist for the 2017 Naismith Award. An accolade given to the nations best high school basketball player.

Anastasia was not alone in her domination of the Lady Rebels. Brinae Alexander, Aislynn Hayes, and Amanda and Alexis Whittington also joined in on the fun. Franklin County knew they were going up against a buzz saw when they left for Murfreesboro today. And a buzz saw is exactly what they ran into as the Lady Warriors would cruise to a 93-38 victory in the Region 4 AAA Playoffs first round. Final Score: Riverdale 93 FC 38

The Lady Warriors next opponent will be against Lawrence Country at Siegel High School on the 27th at 6pm.
