3 Adults Found Responsible for Smyrna Teen’s Drug Overdose

On 5-9-17 officers responded to a drug overdose of a 16-year-old at 136 Frontier Drive, Smyrna, TN. The 16-year-old was found to be unresponsive and was transported to the ER.

The 16-year-old never recovered and passed away a few days later.

Through an investigation, it was revealed that three adults were responsible for the 16-year-old to have acquired the Heroin that helped cause his death. Recently in Rutherford County Circuit Court, the three subjects pled guilty to the following charges.

Eric Crowell of Lebanon plead guilty of Criminal Neg Homicide and casual exchange of heroin to a minor

William Yager of Lebanon plead guilty to casual exchange of heroin to a minor

Brett Austin Mccord of Smyrna plead guilty to Criminal Neg Homicide.
