$100,000 Powerball Winner in Murfreesboro

(4/26/2022) MURFREESBORO/JONESBOROUGH – A Powerball player in Murfreesboro won $100,000 from last night’s drawing, and a player in Jonesborough won $20,429 from the Tennessee Cash drawing.

The Powerball winner matched four out of five white balls plus the red Powerball to win $50,000. But since the player chose the Power Play feature for an extra $1 and the Power Play number drawn was 2, the prize of $50,000 was doubled to $100,000.

The $100,000 winning ticket was sold at Publix, 4175 Franklin Road in Murfreesboro.

The $20,429 Tennessee Cash ticket was sold at Tri City Wholesale Tobacco, 104 E. Jackson Blvd. in Jonesborough.

The current jackpot for the Powerball game stands at $454 million.

No additional information about the winners is available until the prizes are claimed.
