10 Queens and Princes Crowned at La Vergne Beauty Pageant

Ten new queens and princes were crowned at the annual Miss La Vergne Beauty Pageant on November 3rd. The pageant was held at La Vergne Middle School.

This year 19 children under the age of four entered the Baby Pageant and 12 young women entered the Miss La Vergne pageants. Alderman Melisa Brown served as the Emcee. Judges included La Vergne Walmart Store Manager Deborah Cox, Smyrna Town Manager Brian Hercules, Breaking Bread restaurant owner Andrea Corke, and Laura Johnson, a Nashville-area woman with years of pageant experience.

The girls were judged not only on natural beauty but personality, formal and casual appearance, confidence and their answers to random questions selected on stage.

Baby Pageant Winners
Baby Princess: Jaiyana Johnson (11 months old)
Baby Prince: Noah Morales (4 months old)
Toddler Princess: Chandler Sheridan (2 years, 11 months old)
Toddler Prince: Keegan Harrison (1 year, 11 months old)
Pee Wee Princess: Alexa Morales (3 years, 11 months old)
Pee Wee Prince: Jayden Bailey (4 years old)

Miss La Vergne Pageant Winners
Little Miss La Vergne: LaQoria Bullock (1st grade)
Young Miss La Vergne: Lilyanna Gibson (3rd grade)
Junior Miss La Vergne: Brianna Williams (7th grade)
Miss La Vergne: Hailey Gentry (10th grade)

People’s choice winners were Hailey Gentry (Miss La Vergne category) and Jayla Hendershot (Little Miss La Vergne category).

This year’s royalty will be honored at the regular Board of Mayor and Alderman meeting in December.
