It’s that time of the year – time for pumpkin patches, hayrides, corn mazes, and other fall fun. Check out these 10 middle Tennessee farms offering fall-themed activities for the whole family.

In 2018, Lucky Ladd Farms was named the Best Pumpkin Patch in the state of Tennessee by the Travel Channel, and the fifth best in the country. Not only do they have pumpkins of every size, but they also have all kinds of other fun activities, like their award-winning Corn Maze with the 2019 theme “Circle of Life”.

Four generations of the Dixon family have run Grandaddy’s Farm since 1951, offering agri-fun for the whole family. Along with the pumpkin patch, there is a corn maze, hayrides, duck races, a straw maze, an animal corral, pig races, and many more fun activities.

On September 28, there will be a buy two get one free admission, and on October 26, there will be a costume day. Those wearing a costume will receive half price admission.

In the fall, they have a pick-your-own pumpkin patch and huge activity area, which includes: 4-acre cornfield maze, hayrides, nature trail, playground, tire swings, hands-on barn, inside maze, chickens, sheep, cows and more.

Boasting the largest pumpkin patch in the Tennessee Valley, Lyon Family Farms’ annual Fall Festival also offers a corn maze, hayrides, a cow train, a petting zoo, pig and duck races, huge slides, a giant pillow bounce, a corn box for the wee ones (like a sand box, but not) and so much more!

If you come hungry, they have plenty to eat. On-site you can buy roasted corn, caramel apples, hot dogs, hamburgers, ribeye sandwiches, and many other tasty treats.

A family-owned farm during the rest of the year, in October the farm becomes a giant corn maze listed as one of the best on American Towns Media. In addition to the giant corn maze, there is a straw maze, a hay mountain to climb, goats to pet, hayrides, pumpkin games, a bonfire, local vendors offering fall goods, and concessions. October 26 come for Haunted Corn Maze Day, and November 2 is Doggie Day at the Maze.

Started to teach school children about agriculture in 2001, Cedarwood Pumpkin Patch is the brainchild of Buddy and Jan Patterson, and their son, Luke. Activities like hayrides, a pumpkin train, slides, a petting zoo, a petal car track, a maze, and weekend bonfires can be found on the hundred-acre farm.

Gourds, pumpkins, scarecrows, straw bales, mums, corn stocks and more produce, as well as gifts, can be found at the Country Store on the property. Also available on site are chicken strips, barbecue, hot dogs, corn dogs, and homemade desserts to keep pumpkin hunters from getting hungry.

For eight generations, the Beatty family has run the farm. In the family since 1807, the family offers pumpkins, hayrides, and a 14-acre corn maze. The maze not only tests your skills and finding the exit, but questions and answers about agriculture have been woven into the experience. At night, they offer fire pits and a flashlight tour of the maze.
