Rutherford County has three active senior citizen community centers that host events nearly every day of the month. There’s plenty to do no matter what your interests are. Whether you like arts and crafts, games, or want to learn new skills, there is something for everyone. Here are 10 things to do during September.
Smyrna Bunco and Dominos
What: Join the Smyrna Senior Center for games of Bunco and Dominos as well as fellowship and food. Bring $5 for Bunco games and fingerfoods to share.

La Vergne Dancing with Linda
What: Do you want to get some exercise and some fun movement into your day? Or maybe you want to learn some new moves? No matter why you want to dance, this class is for you. Join Linda at the La Vergne Senior Center for a fun hour of dancing.
When: September 17, 2019, 11:00am - 12:00pm
Dance with Beechgrove Bob
What: The St. Clair Senior Center has its own special dance event. Spend a night dancing the night away with the Beechgrove Bob Band. Light refreshments will be served.

St. Luke’s Festival with the Smyrna Senior center
What: Join the Smyrna Senior Center at the St. Luke’s festival for a fun time shopping, eating, and community.

Pinochle Tournament
What: Are you skilled at Pinochle? Or just want to have a fun time playing a game you love? Test your skill in this partners tournament. Everyone is welcome! Limit 36

La Vergne Night Time BINGO!
What: Join the seniors at the La Vergne Senior Center for a fun evening playing bingo.

La Vergne Senior Lunch $3
What: The La Vergne Senior Center has senior lunches a couple of times a month. Come join other seniors on this Wednesday for a Potato Bar, Salad, and Dessert for a great deal of $3.

Lunch at Mestizo’s and Shopping at McKay’s
What: Join the Smyrna seniors for a special lunch at Mestizo’s in Nashville, before heading over to McKay’s bookstore for some great deals. Price for event is $7.

St. Clair Senior Center Annual Health Expo
What: The St. Clair Senior Center Annual Health Expo offers health screenings for everything from your memory to your feet, flu shots, door prizes, snacks and more. This is a free event open to anyone age 60 and over! All other programs will be canceled during the expo.

St. Clair Arts & Crafts Show/Sale
What: Need Christmas gifts or ideas? This is the place to be! Enjoy the wonderful talents of our seniors who would love to show & sell you their work! Lots of assorted handmade treasures can be found at St. Clair. Bring a friend and shop to your heart’s content! You must sign up with Kathy Herod, Program Coordinator to have a table reserved to sell items. For all ages.
