At the annual Independent Sports Association national convention, held in Las Vegas, PresidISA Award Sullivan and Moss Parks webent of ISA, Mike Caldwell, along with his staff recognized the Smyrna Parks Department; specifically the Lee Victory Recreation Park as well as Volunteer Park, as the Southern Region Complex of the year.
For the last five years, Smyrna Adult Softball along with Tennessee ISA, has held the Tennessee State tournament and several NIT and Regional events. Mr. Caldwell commented on the quality of the complexes, the atmosphere of the community and the helpfulness of the Parks staff at these events. Congratulations to the Parks and Recreation Department for a the well deserved honor.
